A failing Maserati suspension shows 6 signs: 2 cluster warnings on the Levante and the Quattroporte, plus 4 that the driver feels or hears. Those 4 are a front arm creak, a dripping shock, a bouncing body and a steering clunk. Each card below names the cars affected and the repair we carry out.
Any Levante that struggles to change ride height can show "SERVICE AIR SUSPENSION or CHECK AIR SUSPENSION SYSTEM". Its front can sit lower than the rear, and compressor fuse F41 in the rear fuse box can be blown.
We renew the fuse, then repair the air leak or the compressor behind it. Maserati also offers a control unit update that cuts compressor running with the engine off. For that update, we refer the car to a Maserati dealer.
On a 2024 Quattroporte, this light and its message come on while driving when the Skyhook suspension system fails. A 2024 Levante shows the same light for a failure in its suspension system. Our technicians trace the failed part behind the warning and replace it.
A Ghibli, Quattroporte or Levante can creak from its lower front suspension arm during low-speed manoeuvres, over bumps or on uneven roads. Maserati's fix starts by clearing dirt from around the bushes and joints. Next comes a check for cracked rubber, light through a bush or damaged seals.
We keep to that order and retighten the arm fasteners with the car resting on its wheels. An arm that still creaks, or shows worn rubber, is replaced.
Dripping oil or heavy staining on a shock body, together with a ride that has turned worse, marks a leaking shock absorber on any Maserati. We replace the shock that leaks.
Sound dampers let the suspension settle after 1 or 2 shrinking movements. A worn damper leaves the body moving, and the tyres can lose contact with the road. Our fix is a new damper on the corner that fails.
A worn ball joint clunks over uneven surfaces and in corners, and it makes the steering feel loose or stiff. One tyre edge also wears faster than the other. We replace the worn joint, or the arm that carries it.

A 2024 Quattroporte lists Skyhook active dampers with electronically controlled damping, and the 2024 Ghibli offers them as an option. We replace a Skyhook damper with the same electronically controlled type.
Six causes lie behind Maserati suspension failure in Dubai. Heat, aged rubber and moist air wear the dampers and air parts. Front air joints, a compressor worked too hard and damper oil on the bellows complete the list.
Dubai International Airport recorded its highest daily maximum of 1991 to 2020 in August, at 48.8 °C. A Sharjah study measured 60 °C on uncoated summer pavement. When a 2024 Levante reports pneumatic suspension overheating, Maserati tells the driver to let it cool before the next height change.

A light passenger car needs 30 metres to stop from 50 km/h, and a single worn shock absorber lengthens that by up to 2 metres. Sound dampers on all 4 corners take that extra distance away.
A 2024 Levante moves between Off Road 1, Off Road 2, Normal, Aero 1 and Aero 2 heights. With its air springs sealed, the car reaches each height the driver selects.
The air suspension of a Grecale or GranTurismo keeps the body level whatever load sits on the front or rear axle. Once its leaks are gone, the car holds that level with passengers and luggage aboard.
On a 2024 Levante, the suspension button switches the dampers between a soft and a hard setting. Working dampers give the driver both settings back.
Cupped patches on a tyre come from a wheel that bounces over bumps. With the damper replaced, the tread wears flat again.
On a 2025 MC20, the front lifter raises the nose for steep ramps and keeps the underside from damage. With the lifter working, the car takes car park ramps cleanly.
A Maserati with air suspension sinks when parked for 2 reasons: pressure lost over a long rest, or an air leak. On a 2024 Levante, a lower stance after a long period of inactivity is normal. On a Grecale or GranTurismo, a parked drop of more than 6 mm at a front wheel arch counts as abnormal.
We measure the height at each front wheel arch with the car cold, empty and closed, then measure again after it has stood. A change in spring temperature can alter the height, so both readings start from a cold car.
A car that drops gets our leak search. We hold the steering at full lock each way and watch for a sudden front drop or a hiss. Soapy water then goes over the pipe joints, springs and valve block, and the part that bubbles is replaced.
Each Maserati suspension job follows these steps:
The route takes in low-speed turns, bumps and uneven roads, so we hear when and where the noise starts.
A diagnostic tool reads the codes stored by the suspension and ride height control units. We repair the part behind each code.
A 2024 Levante or a 2025 Grecale with air suspension has a Tire Jack Mode that disables the air suspension for lifting.
With the wheels raised, we check each ball joint and track rod end for play, then repeat the check with a pry bar. Shocks, bushes, boots and springs get a close look at the same time.
The checks name the shock, air spring, arm, joint or pipe to renew, and we fit its replacement.
We set camber and toe; for Wheel Alignment Mode on a 2024 Levante, we refer the car to a Maserati dealer. A second road test confirms the noise or warning has gone.

The cost of Maserati suspension repair in Dubai depends on 3 factors: the failed part, the model's suspension and any extra steps. A creak can end with retightened fasteners or with a new lower arm. A low corner can mean one pipe joint or a full air spring.

Our Maserati suspension method stands apart in these ways:
A light halo of oil on a Maserati shock body is normal, because the shaft seal lets a small amount past to lubricate the shaft. We leave a sweating shock in place when the ride is still sound.
On a Grecale or GranTurismo, an air pipe can be laid wrongly at the front and rear air springs. We check the pipe layout at each spring and correct any pipe that is out of place.
A compressor that burns out shows discoloured labels, melted air lines or a burning smell. We replace a burnt compressor and fit a new relay with it.
A raised car never comes fully down on our lift while its air springs hold no pressure. An air spring without pressure can unfold the wrong way under the weight.
Self-locking fasteners are made for a single use. We fit a fresh nut or bolt in place of each one we take off.
An impact wrench on a piston rod nut can ruin its thread, and a shock left without its fastening clangs loudly. We tighten each piston rod nut with hand tools to its locking torque.
We repair the suspension of these Maserati lines:
A 2024 Ghibli runs double wishbones at the front and a multilink rear axle. A 2024 Levante and a 2025 Grecale Folgore carry air springs on both axles with a closed air supply unit. A 2025 GranTurismo has air springs on both axles with an open unit.
Air suspension comes as standard on every new GranTurismo and as an option on the Grecale. A 2025 MC20 has semi-virtual double wishbones front and rear with semi-active dampers. Its front lifter fluid level is checked at every service coupon, and we carry out that check on each MC20 we work on.
Four habits extend the life of Maserati suspension in Dubai. They cover dampers at each service, a Levante after a long rest, the MC20 front lifter and the RTA test. We pair each habit with a check or repair of our own.
Tyres, brakes and dampers work together to stop, steer and steady the car. Every service we carry out includes a damper check next to the tyre and brake checks, and a damper that fails it is replaced.
After a long period parked, wait for a 2024 Levante to reach its set ride height before driving off. Maserati warns that driving earlier is unsafe and can damage suspension parts. A Levante that never reaches its height gets our check, and we repair the cause.
A 2025 MC20 parked on a kerb with its front lifter raised can have the kerb touch its underside. We inspect the underbody and front suspension of an MC20 that has hit a kerb and repair any damage.

No. For a leaking shock absorber, Maserati replaces the shock that shows the leak and rules out replacement in pairs. We follow that rule and leave the other shock on the axle in place when it is sound.
A 2024 Levante lifts its rear first when rising and drops its front first when lowering. The pattern stops the headlights shining into oncoming traffic during a height change. A Levante that moves in another order gets a check of its height sensors and valve block, and we replace the faulty part.
