What We Do for Your Dodge

The seven jobs Dodge owners book most, each with its own page. Open the full details below for everything else we do on the Dodge range.

What it covers

Our services for Dodge repair in Dubai

Each card below covers one Dodge system and the work our team does on it.

Dodge major and minor service

We carry out every item listed for the step of Dodge's Middle East schedule the car has reached, from a minor oil service upward. As published in 2021, it renews brake fluid by the 50,000 km mark or the 24th month. Coolant is due by 100,000 km or the 60th month, and tyres swap places every 10,000 km.

Dodge oil services

On a 2015 Middle East Charger, the 3.6 litre V6 and the 5.7 litre HEMI both take SAE 5W-20 meeting MS-6395. With the filter, the V6 holds 5.6 litres and the HEMI 6.6 litres. We hold the 5.7 to 5W-20, as another grade can stop its Fuel Saver Technology working properly.

A 2015 Challenger with the 6.4 litre takes 6.6 litres of 0W-40 meeting MS-12633, and we fill it to that figure.

Dodge engine repair

Our engine work covers the Pentastar 3.6 litre V6, the HEMI V8s of 5.7 and 6.4 litres and the supercharged 6.2 litre HEMI. We follow a leak, misfire or overheating back to the part that gave way and renew it. A 2015 Durango then gets OAT coolant meeting MS-90032.

Dodge transmission service and gearbox inspection

Our gearbox inspection covers the eight-speed automatics and the six-speed manual of the Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody launched in the Middle East in 2018. Dodge's Middle East schedule counts 8 and 9-speed fluid as fill-for-life, inspected at service and renewed on condition.

A 2015 Challenger's 8-speed automatic takes Dodge's 8 and 9-speed ATF, and its manual gearbox takes ATF+4. We seal any leak found, then refill each gearbox with its own fluid.

Dodge brake repair

New pads and discs go on at their wear limit, and we match the size each car was built with. The 2018 Middle East Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody runs 391.2 mm two-piece discs and six-piston front callipers.

A 2018 Durango SRT pairs six-piston front callipers with four-piston rears. Its vented discs measure 381 mm at the front and 350.5 mm at the rear. A 2015 Challenger runs on DOT 3 brake fluid, and DOT 4 is the accepted fallback.

Dodge suspension repair and wheel alignment

We renew worn dampers, bushes, steering joints and ball joints, and the wheels are aligned once the work is done. A 2018 Durango SRT runs adaptive dampers that go to full hard damping in Track mode. We test that each damper firms up with the mode and replace one that stays soft.

Dodge AC service and repair

A 2015 Middle East Charger, Challenger or Durango carries R-134a or HFO-1234yf, depending on equipment. The Charger and Durango take PAG compressor oil. We confirm which gas the car holds and seal the leak before the recharge.

Stellantis warns Middle East owners that a marginal A/C system fails in hot weather. We test the compressor and its clutch and replace a failed one.

Dodge battery change

Our battery change opens with a test of the old battery. The replacement carries the type code printed on the outgoing battery's label. Stellantis puts the average battery life at 42 months in its Middle East advice.

On a stop-start Dodge, the battery sensor carries over and relearns the charge state after 1 crank and a spell of sleep.

Dodge electrical repair

We read the code each warning leaves in its control unit, then test the wires and parts on that circuit and replace whichever has failed. On a stop-start Dodge, Stellantis treats a lit battery lamp as a charging system fault, not a sensor fault. The alternator circuit is therefore tested first.

What we see

Which Dodge problems are common in the GCC?

Common Dodge problems in the GCC each have a Stellantis bulletin or a Qatari or Saudi ministry recall behind them. They involve the 850RE gearbox, the generator, cruise control, airbag inflators and the parking brake. Each item names the Dodge models and dates concerned, then our next step.

  • 850RE D clutch: a WD Durango, LD Charger or LA Challenger with this gearbox can slip, lose reverse or fail to shift above third. Stellantis replaces the D clutch, so we read the gear-ratio codes and pass the car on to a Dodge dealer.
  • Generator defect: in 2018, Qatar recalled 2011 to 2014 Challenger, Charger and Durango models, as the generator can stop the engine. We measure what the generator delivers, renew a failed unit on a car outside the recall and send a listed car to a Dodge dealer.
  • Cruise control: a 2018 Saudi recall covers 2014 to 2018 Charger and Challenger models, as the system can fail to switch off. Qatar's 2018 recall named 487 Charger and Challenger cars from 2014 to 2018 and 407 Durangos from 2014 to 2017. We check that the system switches off, and a car the recall names goes to a Dodge dealer.
  • Charger and Challenger airbags: in 2019, Qatar recalled 2014 to 2015 Charger and Challenger models over the front passenger inflator. In 2025, Qatar and Saudi Arabia recalled 2019 to 2021 Chargers over the risk of an inflator rupture. Our recall look-up on the VIN decides whether the car goes to a Dodge dealer.
  • Durango side airbags: in 2021, Qatar recalled 2020 to 2021 Durangos over the side airbags. Saudi Arabia recalled 49 of them over a curtain airbag fastener. We read the airbag lamp and the restraint codes, and a recalled Durango goes to a Dodge dealer.
  • Parking brake: in 2024, Qatar recalled 2023 Challenger and Charger models, as a parking brake built out of adjustment can let the car skid. We test the parking brake's hold, and a recalled 2023 car goes to a Dodge dealer.

In Dubai conditions

When does a Dodge service in Dubai fall due?

A Dodge service in Dubai is due at each step of Dodge's Middle East schedule, as published in 2021 for all models. Step 1 is set for 5,000 km or the third month, and step 2 for 10,000 km or the sixth. Later steps run in 10,000 km and 6-month stages to 100,000 km, where the count begins again.

Every step includes new engine oil and a new filter. SRT models follow Schedule B, with a step every 5,000 km, and Stellantis makes that 5,000 km interval mandatory for SRT and Hellcat cars. A 2015 Charger bases its oil change indicator on duty cycle, letting the interval lengthen or shorten with the owner's driving.

Stellantis calls for fresh oil each 3,000 km in Middle East desert use, or when half the driving is fast in heat above 35 °C. On 17.7 days annually, rising sand blows through Dubai airport. We set each car's next step from its km, months and use, and desert driving brings the oil change forward.

How it works

Dodge maintenance in Dubai: how we work at Royal Prince Auto Care

Our Dodge jobs follow the same 5 steps, which open with the cluster messages and close on the road.

Log the messages and read the fault memory

Each cluster message is written onto the job card before anything else. Our scan then reads the fault memory in each control unit.

Check underneath for leaks and wear

On the lift, our team looks over the gearbox, transfer case, axles, brake lines and A/C pipes.

Trace each code to its part

We test the circuit each code names, and that result decides the repair.

Renew the part, then service the car

The failed part is renewed, and we work through the list for the kilometre step on the odometer.

Reset the car and take it on the road

Our technician clears the stored codes, and an oil service ends with a reset of the oil change indicator. A road test in the Dodge closes the job.

Why Royal Prince

Why choose Royal Prince Auto Care for Dodge service in Dubai

The cards below show how our Dodge work differs.

GCC ministry recalls checked

Every Dodge is matched against the Qatari and Saudi ministry recalls that name its model. A Dodge dealer takes any recall still open, while we go ahead with the remaining work.

Software faults passed to the dealer

In 2026, Qatar recalled 2023 to 2025 Durangos over instrument panel software that can show unreadable messages. We note the symptom and the code, and the software update itself is done by a Dodge dealer.

Valley oil leaks traced to the seal

When oil gathers in an engine valley, Stellantis checks the oil filter adapter and its cooler first. We fit new seals to that adapter, and a dye test then shows whether the adapter itself needs replacing.

Stop-start batteries charged through the sensor

Stellantis forbids blind charging on a stop-start car and keeps the battery sensor fitted during a charge. We connect the charger through the sensor clamp.

SRT cars on their own items

Dodge asks for the brakes of a 2015 Charger SRT to be bled at the end of each track event, to keep the pedal feel. We do that bleed for owners who drive on track, and we change an SRT's rear differential oil at 40,000 km.

Specialist jobs sent to Dodge

Rebuilds of engines and gearboxes, hybrid and electric work, driver-assist calibration and Dodge special-tool jobs go to a Dodge dealer. The servicing and repair outside that list stays with us.

FAQs

Dodge questions, answered

What decides the cost of a Dodge service in Dubai?

A Dodge service in Dubai is priced from 3 things: its schedule step, its engine and any part our checks find worn. An SRT on Schedule B comes in every 5,000 km. In a 2015 Charger, the 5.7 litre HEMI takes more oil than the 3.6 litre V6.

Do you service the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat?

Yes. The Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody reached the Middle East in 2018 with a supercharged 6.2 litre HEMI V8 of 707 hp. The 2019 Redeye has 797 hp. In a 2015 Charger SRT, the supercharged 6.2 litre takes 5.68 litres of full synthetic 0W-40 meeting MS-12633, and we fill to that.

What does SERVICE AWD SYSTEM mean on a Dodge Charger?

On a 2015 Charger AWD, the message means the all-wheel-drive system is not working properly and needs service. The system runs as rear-wheel drive when wheel slip is unlikely. We read the AWD codes, repair the failed part and renew the PTU fluid at 80,000 km where fitted.

Where does a Dodge Charger or Durango keep its battery?

A 2015 Charger or Challenger keeps its battery under an access cover in the boot. Remote jump-start posts sit on the right of the engine bay. A 2015 Durango has it under the front passenger seat. The 2015 Charger takes a vented battery, and we fit a vented one in its place.

Do you work on the Dodge Neon?

Yes. The 2017 Neon pairs a 1.6 litre e.torQ SOHC 16V engine of 110 hp with a 6-speed automatic. It rides on McPherson struts front and rear, with front discs and rear drums, and we service each of them.
