Skoda major and minor service
The scope of a Skoda major or minor service is the work its service display calls up. We renew the parts and fluids on that list, plus any part the inspection finds worn.
On an Octavia 3, the 2019 manual places the brake fluid change in the inspection.

Skoda oil services
Our oil service drains the old oil and changes the filter, then refills to the VW standard set for that engine. The Octavia 4 manual (2024 edition) names the oil on an engine-bay sticker up front.
For a one-off top-up of 0.5 litre at most, that manual accepts VW 504 00 oil in petrol engines and VW 507 00 in diesels. Oils on Volkswagen's worldwide list to VW 504 00 or VW 507 00 come in SAE 5W-30 or 0W-30.

Skoda engine repair
Rough running, coolant loss or an oil leak sends us looking for the failed hose, seal or coil, which our technicians then replace.
In the Middle East, the Octavia, Karoq and front-wheel-drive Kodiaq use a 1.4 TSI of 150 hp. The Superb and the all-wheel-drive Kodiaq have a 2.0 TSI of 190 hp, and the Kushaq a 1.0 TSI of 85 kW.

Skoda transmission service and gearbox inspection
Harsh shifts or a leak under a Skoda gearbox lead to a fault code read and a leak test. The seal or sensor at fault is then renewed, and we refill the gearbox.
Middle East Octavia and Karoq models pair the 1.4 TSI with an 8-speed automatic, while the Kodiaq and Superb use a 7-speed DSG. The Kushaq has a 6-speed automatic. Every fourth-generation Superb has a DSG as standard, and the fourth-generation Octavia uses shift-by-wire for its DSG.

Skoda brake repair
Worn pads and discs are changed on both wheels of an axle, and a caliper that sticks is overhauled or replaced. Every fourth-generation Octavia has an electromechanical parking brake, so our rear pad work starts with retracting it by diagnostic tool.
The 2020 Octavia RS with the 2.0 TSI has 17-inch brakes. Its 2.0 TDI version has 16-inch brakes at the front and 15-inch brakes at the rear.

Skoda suspension repair, wheel alignment and steering alignment
Uneven tyre wear or a pull to one side leads us to check the dampers, bushes and track rod ends. The worn part is renewed, and the job closes with the alignment of wheels and steering.
Adaptive chassis control comes on the Middle East Kodiaq Sportline 2.0 and Superb L&K. On the second-generation Kodiaq (PS), DCC Plus controls rebound and compression through 2 separate valves.

Skoda AC service and repair
Our AC work locates the leak and renews the faulty component. The system is then recharged by weight to the amount printed on the engine-bay label. The Kodiaq PS manual (issue 08/2026) places the refrigerant data on that label.
The 2026 manuals give the Kodiaq PS, Superb NZ and Karoq NU 0.460 kg of R1234yf, as the Octavia 4 manual (2024 edition) does. The Kamiq NW4 and Scala NW1 take 0.430 kg. A Fabia PJ takes 0.390 kg with the 1.0 MPI, or 0.430 kg with the 1.0 TSI, 1.5 TSI or 1.6 MPI.

Skoda battery replacement
A 12V battery that fails its load test is replaced, and a weak charging output sends us to the alternator, which we repair or replace.
The Kodiaq PS manual (issue 08/2026) lists the cluster texts "12V vehicle battery is not charging" and "Low battery charge of the 12V vehicle battery". At low charge, that Kodiaq raises its idle speed and switches off certain consumers.

Skoda electrical repair
From a lighting fault to a dead sensor, we trace the wiring to the broken wire, loose plug or failed unit and repair it.
