Chevrolet oil change
We fill the SAE grade and dexos standard Chevrolet lists for each engine. They run from 0W-20 in a 2024 Traverse to 5W-50 in a 2024 Corvette Z06.
Chevrolet engine repair
We repair Chevrolet V8, V6 and turbo four-cylinder engines. They range from the 5.3 litre L84 of a 2024 Tahoe to the 2.5 litre LK0 turbo of a 2024 Traverse. The work takes in leaks, overheating, misfires, lifters and head gaskets.
Chevrolet transmission service and gearbox repair
We read the gearbox module, seal leaks and repair cooler lines. That covers 8-speed and 10-speed automatics, the dual-clutch unit of a Corvette, and the Captiva and Groove CVT. Fluid exchanges and level sets go to a Chevrolet dealer.
Chevrolet suspension repair and Chevrolet wheel alignment
Shocks, springs, ball joints, tie rod ends and the air springs of an air-ride Tahoe or Suburban are replaced here. Our alignment then brings the wheels back to GM's figures.
Chevrolet brake repair
We fit new pads as an axle set, replace discs worn to their stamped minimum and test the brake fluid. Carbon ceramic brakes, standard on the Corvette E-Ray, go to a Chevrolet dealer.
Chevrolet AC service and repair
Each refrigerant leak is located first, and the failed hose, condenser or compressor is replaced. We then evacuate the circuit and charge it by weight to the amount the under-bonnet label gives.
Chevrolet battery change
Every battery is tested to its type before a change, with the alternator output read alongside. The new battery carries the same replacement number as the label of the old one.
Chevrolet electrical repair
A warning on the instrument cluster leads us to the module that stored the code. From there, we follow the code to its sensor, wiring or connector and renew the failed part.
What we see
What are the common problems on a Chevrolet?
Chevrolet's common problems with a GM bulletin or a GCC recall behind them fall into 6 groups. These are V8 lifters, the 8-speed and 10-speed automatics, connecting rods and crankshafts, Captiva fuses and passenger airbags. Each bullet names the models and our step.
- AFM lifter misfire: GM links code P0300 to a collapsed or stuck lifter. It affects 5.3 litre V8s coded L83 or L8B and 6.2 litre V8s coded L86, LT1 or LT4. Our fix follows GM's, with a new lifter oil manifold and new AFM lifters along the bank at fault.
- 8-speed shudder: the 8L45 and 8L90 in the Camaro, Corvette and Silverado can shudder at light throttle from 40 to 128 km/h. GM traces it to the torque converter clutch. We confirm it on a road test and pass GM's fluid exchange to a Chevrolet dealer.
- 10-speed running hot: on a Tahoe, Suburban or Silverado with the 10-speed, a twisted cooler line can bring harsh shifts, shudder or overheating. We straighten and refit the line, or fit a new one, and a Chevrolet dealer sets the fluid level.
- Connecting rod or crankshaft: Qatar recalled the Tahoe, Suburban and Silverado from 2021 to 2024 over possible defects in these parts. Saudi Arabia recalled 2021 to 2024 GM vehicles for the same components. Our check shows whether the campaign is open for that car, and the recall work itself belongs to a Chevrolet dealer.
- Captiva fuses: a 2023 UAE recall covers 7,126 Captiva cars of the 2020 to 2023 models. High heat brings a risk of smoke or fire in the engine bay, and of AC cooling failure. Chevrolet's fix is new cooling fan and AC blower fuses, fitted by a Chevrolet dealer.
- Passenger airbags: a 2022 UAE recall covers front passenger inflators in 2007 to 2014 Tahoe and Suburban and 2007 to 2013 Silverado 1500 models. A car with the campaign still open goes from us to a Chevrolet dealer.

Chevrolet service in Dubai: the UAE schedule
Chevrolet service in Dubai is due each 10,000 km or each 12 months, the earlier of the 2. That is the UAE schedule for the 2021 to 2025 Tahoe. The 2019 to 2024 Silverado LD keeps that interval, and its Oil Life Monitoring System can call the service earlier.
Each UAE Tahoe service includes a scan-tool diagnostic check, a tyre rotation and checks of the suspension, brakes, battery and AC. Air and cabin filters join at 20,000 km, transmission oil at 70,000 km and spark plugs at 80,000 km.
We complete the items listed for the car's distance and record the km at each service. The transmission oil change goes to a Chevrolet dealer.

Chevrolet questions, answered
Do you service the Corvette Stingray and Z06?
Yes. We service the Stingray with its 6.2 litre LT2 V8 and the Z06 with its 5.5 litre LT6, both fitted with a dual-clutch gearbox. The E-Ray adds an electric front axle to the LT2, and we refer its hybrid work to a Chevrolet dealer.
Is a Silverado HD serviced differently from a Silverado 1500?
Yes. A 2024 Silverado HD runs the 6.6 litre L8T V8 on SAE 5W-30. A 2024 Silverado 1500 takes 0W-20 in its 5.3 litre and 6.2 litre V8s. The HD's 10-speed gearbox drives through an Autotrac 2-speed transfer case, and we seal leaks on both.
Do you service the Chevrolet Camaro?
Yes. We service the 2024 Camaro in both forms: the LGX, a 3.6 litre V6, and the LT1, a 6.2 litre V8. The V6 takes SAE 5W-30 engine oil and the V8 takes SAE 0W-40.
Is high-voltage work on a Captiva PHEV or Captiva EV done here?
No. A Captiva PHEV runs on a 20.5 kWh lithium pack and a Captiva EV on a 60 kWh pack. We refer high-voltage work on both to a Chevrolet dealer. We service the petrol Captiva with its 1.5 litre turbo.
What decides the cost of Chevrolet service in Dubai?
The cost of a Chevrolet service turns on the items due at the car's km, the oil quantity and any worn part we find. A 2024 Tahoe or Suburban V8 holds 7.6 litres of oil with the filter, against 3.5 litres in a 2026 Groove LT.
