Kia major and minor service
Whether a Kia needs a minor or a major service depends on the schedule step its distance and age have reached. Kia's table marks each item at that step R for replace or I for inspect. We replace the R items, inspect the I items and record the step.

Kia oil change
In the Middle East, a Sportage coded NQ5 with the Smartstream G1.6 T-GDi takes 4.8 litres of SAE 5W-30 to ACEA A5/B5. We drain the old oil, renew the filter and refill with the grade and quantity Kia's Middle East row gives for that engine.

Kia engine repair
We trace and repair oil and coolant leaks, misfires and turbocharger faults on Kia petrol and diesel engines. A Sorento coded MQ4 runs the Smartstream G2.5 MPI, the G3.5 V6 or the D2.2 diesel.
Kia replaces the spark plugs of a Sportage coded NQ5 every 70,000 km on the G1.6 T-GDi. The G2.0 and G2.5 GDi go 150,000 km, and we renew the plugs when the car reaches them.

Kia transmission repair
We change gearbox fluid to the type Kia names, seal fluid leaks and replace the failed part when a gearbox shifts harshly or slips. The wet DCT of a Sorento coded MQ4 takes separate gear oil and control oil.
A K4 coded CL4 with the Smartstream G2.0 drives through an IVT, and a Picanto coded JA with the Smartstream G1.0 through an automated manual. On a Sportage coded NQ5, the severe schedule renews automatic fluid every 90,000 km and DCT fluid every 120,000 km.

Kia suspension repair and Kia wheel alignment
Worn dampers, springs, bushes and control arms are renewed in our workshop, and we align the wheels after every job that changes the geometry. An EV6 coded CV1 with Electronic Control Suspension shows "Check Electronic Suspension" when the system has a fault. Our team reads that code and repairs the sensor or wiring behind it.

Kia brake repair
Worn pads, discs and callipers are replaced, and a Sportage coded NQ5 gets DOT-4 LV brake fluid. Its schedule renews the fluid at the 45,000 km or 36 month step, then at 90,000 km or 72 months. Each Sportage coded NQ5 has a hand-type parking brake or an Electronic Parking Brake, and we check which before a rear pad change.

Kia AC repair and service
Kia's 2025 manuals for the Sportage, Sorento, Carnival, Seltos and Niro list both R-134a and R-1234yf.
We check which gas the car runs on, repair the leak and any failed compressor or condenser, then weigh in the charge. A Sportage coded NQ5 takes 600 ± 25 g of R-134a or 550 ± 25 g of R-1234yf.

Kia battery replacement
A Sportage coded NQ5 carries a calcium-based battery that needs no maintenance, and a Sorento coded MQ4 with an AGM battery needs an AGM charger. We test the battery and the charge, then fit the type the car carries. After a Sportage battery change, we reset the auto windows, panorama sunroof, trip computer, climate control and infotainment.

Kia electrical repair
Our scan reads each control unit, and we test the sensor, connector and wiring behind each code before replacing the failed part. A Carnival coded KA4 adds a 12 V parking lithium battery that powers OTA updates, after-blow and CCS while parked. On a parked-drain fault, our check covers both of its batteries.
