A hot cabin after parking
Under tree shade in Al Ain, one test car's cabin reached 50 °C during a 2022 field study. We cover the side and rear windows with heat-rejecting film.

6 signs point to window tinting or a film change. 2 of them come from the sun: a hot cabin after parking and sunlight on the arms through the side windows. The film itself causes the other 4: radio or tyre pressure faults, camera warnings, a police stop for dark tint and haze in new film.
Under tree shade in Al Ain, one test car's cabin reached 50 °C during a 2022 field study. We cover the side and rear windows with heat-rejecting film.
A 2016 study tested 29 cars, and their side windows blocked 71 per cent of UV-A on average against 96 per cent for the windscreens. The weakest side window blocked 44 per cent. We add a UV-blocking film to each side window.
On a 2024 Polestar 2, Irish edition, Polestar warns that metallised film on the rear window can disrupt reception from the antenna inside it. Mitsubishi notes that tint affecting radio waves can stop the tyre pressure monitoring system of a 2024 Pajero Sport, Thai edition, from working correctly. We set the tyre pressures, then swap a metallised film for one with no metal layer.
Mercedes-Benz notes that Active Steering Assist on a W213 E-Class, global edition, can be impaired when a sticker covers the windscreen near the camera. We take film or stickers off that camera area.
Dubai can impound a car whose tint exceeds the permissible limit, under Dubai Decree 30 of 2023. Getting the car back costs a 10,000 dirham release fee, which Dubai Police set out in July 2023. We swap the dark film for a lighter one inside the limit.
A freshly fitted film can stay hazy, with small moisture bubbles, for as long as 10 days. We lay each film wet and squeegee the solution out, so little moisture is left to dry.
Our window tinting covers the film, the glass and the parts around it:
Paint protection film for the bodywork is a separate service, on our PPF and tinting page. This page covers the glass.
A hot cabin and tint faults in a Dubai car come from 6 causes. The sun brings 2 of them, and the glass and its film bring 4.
In the 1991 to 2020 normals, the August peak at Dubai International Airport was 48.8 °C. Every June to October day reaches at least 30 °C.
We trace a radio, tyre pressure or switch fault after tinting to the film or the fitting solution. We then replace the film or repair the wet switch.
Car window tinting in Dubai changes how the cabin feels and how the car works. We fit each film for these results.
Test cars from Hyundai Motor and Kia hit 48.5 °C with plain glass and 36.0 °C with their cooling film fitted. The gap was 12.5 °C.
One multilayer film blocks up to 99.9 per cent of ultraviolet light. Arms and faces beside the side windows get that protection on every drive.
At wavelengths of 900 to 1,000 nm, that film turns back 97 per cent of infrared. Across the sun's infrared energy as a whole, it rejects 69 per cent.
One metal-free film does not interfere with phones, GPS or satellite radio. Its heat rejection comes from a nano multilayer build instead.
On a Jaguar XK coupe, EURO edition, heating and radio elements sit on the inside of the rear screen. Jaguar has owners clean that side with nothing but a damp cloth or chamois. Our tint work leaves those elements working.
The Ministry of Interior fines tint beyond the permitted percentage 1,500 dirhams, under Ministerial Resolution 178 of 2017. A film inside the limit keeps the car clear of that fine.
Car tint in Dubai follows the federal traffic rules. They allow tint on side and rear glass only, up to 50 per cent of a vehicle's interior visibility level. Abu Dhabi Police announced the rule on 2 July 2017, under amended rules applied from 1 July 2017.
We choose every film shade against that 50 per cent limit, and we fit no film past it.
A tint fitting at our workshop covers 6 steps, glass check first and daylight inspection last.
We read the marks on each pane and look for factory tint. UN Regulation 43 gives safety glazing that passes below 70 per cent of light the symbol V.
We loosen the old film with heat or steam, then peel it away slowly at a shallow angle. A second pass lifts the old adhesive off the glass.
We clean each pane, the edges and seal lines included. On the rear screen we use soapy water and a soft cloth over the heater lines, never a blade.
Door switches, speakers and window controls get a cover before any solution is sprayed. That keeps the switches in the door dry.
Each film is cut to its window's shape, and we trim the edges to the glass line. A curved rear screen gets its film shaped with heat.
We inspect every window in daylight for dust, creases and lifted edges, and refit any pane that shows them.
Book by phone or WhatsApp, listing the windows you want tinted.
Window count, film type, old film and rear screen shape set the cost of car window tinting in Dubai. A car with old film adds the strip to the fitting. A curved rear screen with heater lines takes the most care to strip and to fit.
We price the job on those 4 factors. Book the tint by WhatsApp, with your car's make and model in the message.
Our tint work follows the law and the car's own glass:
We allow for factory tint when we choose a film shade. The finished glass then stays inside the limit.
We do not tint heavy vehicles or vehicles on taxi plates. The amended traffic rules of July 2017 bar both from tint.
We fit no reflecting film.
We fit one film type and shade across the side and rear windows. The windows then match from every angle.
New film goes on bare, clean glass. We never lay a new film over an old one.
We apply one tint method to saloons, SUVs and coupes of each make we take, in DIP 2.
4 owner habits keep car window tint in good order in Dubai. Keep the windows up after fitting, clean the film gently, leave the dashboard unpolished and aim pressure washers away from the seals. The first habit covers the drying days, and the last 3 look after the film and the view through it.
Wait 1 to 5 days after fitting before you roll the windows down or clean them. The climate on the day of fitting sets where in that range the wait falls.
Wipe tinted windows with a damp microfibre cloth, using a mild cleaner that contains no ammonia. Scouring pads and abrasive products stay off them.
For the Freelander 2, EURO edition, Land Rover advises against polishing the instrument panel. A polished panel throws reflections that can interfere with what the driver sees.
Land Rover, in its UK and European edition, warns that a powerful high-pressure cleaner can penetrate door and window seals. Such a jet can also damage trim and door locks. When we wash a tinted car, we aim the jets away from the seals.

No. Darkness and heat rejection are separate figures. A multilayer film can pass 69 per cent of visible light through clear glass. That film still rejects 97 per cent of infrared at 900 to 1,000 nm.
Yes. Hyundai Motor and Kia state that their Nano Cooling Film can be used with existing tinting films without further cutting light transmission. The cooling film blocks infrared from outside and also lets heat escape from the cabin.
Over-dark tint is fined 1,500 dirhams under the Ministry of Interior's Ministerial Resolution 178 of 2017. In Dubai, impound under Dubai Decree 30 of 2023 can follow, with a 10,000 dirham release fee.
No. Abu Dhabi Police announced the amended traffic rules on 2 July 2017. They allow tint on other vehicles and keep it off heavy vehicles and vehicles on taxi plates.
