A Maserati AC fault shows in 6 ways: warm centre vents, cooling that fades at idle, or a hiss at switch-on. Weak airflow at full blower is the fourth. On a Levante, panel buttons can stay pressed, and the AC controls of a Ghibli, Quattroporte or Levante can switch off.
Air that stays warm at the lowest setting comes from a low charge, a failed compressor or a fault in the controls. Maserati warns against assuming low refrigerant on a Grecale, GranTurismo, GranCabrio or MC20 that blows warm. We test for each cause, then repair the leak, the compressor or the control fault.
Cooling that holds on the move but fades in a jam is a sign of a condenser fan fault. At low speed, that fan moves the air through the condenser. We test the fan and its pressure switch circuit, then repair the part at fault.
A hiss as the AC switches on or off is a sign of a refrigerant leak at a line, a seal or the condenser. Our technician traces it and replaces the part that leaks.
A clogged pollen filter can cut the air that reaches the vents, even at the top blower setting. We replace the filter and clear the outside air intake of debris.
On a Levante (M161), climate panel buttons such as Defrost can stay in the pressed position. We remove the panel from the central air vent trim and refit it with clearance between the two parts.
On a Ghibli (M157), Quattroporte (M156) or Levante (M161), the AC panel functions and the rotary knob can switch off at intervals. Maserati's fix is new ICS software. Once the fault is confirmed, we pass the car to a Maserati dealer for the update.

The Maserati AC gas top up, which owners also call a regas, comes last, once the circuit is sealed. We carry out every stage in our DIP 2 workshop.
Maserati AC failure in Dubai has 6 causes. Four sit in the refrigerant circuit: leaks, heat load on the condenser, moisture and an overcharge. A clogged pollen filter and, on a Levante, a climate panel pressed by its trim complete the list.
August brings Dubai a mean daily high of 41.9 °C, and no day from June to October stays below 30 °C. We test for each cause on your Maserati and repair the one we find.

The centre vents keep blowing cold air through an August jam, with the condenser fan and the charge both in order.
Money spent on the compressor is not lost to overheating or a lack of oil.
Air reaches the cabin at full volume, with no iced evaporator cutting it off halfway through a long drive.
On a Levante, Defrost and the other climate buttons spring back after each press.
A sealed circuit holds its charge, and the cooling stays strong until the next check.
No hiss sounds as the AC switches on or off, because the leak behind it is sealed.
A Maserati AC uses R134a or R1234yf, depending on the model line. Maserati's UAE figures give R134a for the 2024 Ghibli, Quattroporte and Levante. The 2025 Grecale, MC20, GranTurismo and both Folgore models take R1234yf, with a charge that differs by model and climate layout.
Each gas has its own service fittings and machine, so we connect the station built for the car's refrigerant.
Both Folgore models run an electric AC compressor on the high-voltage system, 400 V on the Grecale Folgore and 800 V on the GranTurismo Folgore. On both, the AC also cools that high-voltage system, and a circuit that keeps emptying can overheat it. We refer AC work on both Folgore models to a Maserati dealer.
On the petrol and hybrid Maserati models listed further down, we carry out the full AC repair in our workshop.
The work runs from the front of the car to a retested circuit:
We look over the bumper and grille for condenser damage, then the pollen filter, outside air vents, accessory belt, compressor and lines. On a Grecale, GranTurismo, GranCabrio or MC20, the driver-side mirror that holds the ambient sensor is checked too. Any damaged part is replaced.
With the engine warm, we read fault codes and live data from the climate, engine, body and ICS modules. The codes separate a control fault from a refrigerant fault, and the repair then targets that fault.
After a 15-minute rest with the engine off, both static pressures are recorded. At idle, the AC runs at maximum with full blower, lowest temperature and centre vents, and we log the vent temperature, outside temperature and humidity. A second reading follows at 2,500 rpm, the sequence Maserati sets for the Grecale, GranTurismo and MC20.
We run an electronic leak detector along every pipe, joint and component of the circuit before any gas is added. The leaking part is repaired or replaced, never masked by a top-up.
A new hose, condenser, evaporator or compressor goes in where the old one failed. Where the compressor has failed, the circuit is flushed, and each part a flush cannot clean is renewed.
A vacuum draws out air and moisture and must hold steady before charging starts. Our technician then charges the refrigerant by weight to Maserati's figure for the model and repeats the step 3 readings.

The cost of AC repair on a Maserati in Dubai rests on 4 factors: leak position, failed part, any flush, and refrigerant type and charge. An evaporator leak sits behind the dashboard, so it takes longer to locate and reach than a leak at a hose. We set the scope of work from the test results.
Our method on every Maserati AC job:
We identify each car by Maserati's type code, from M156 for the Quattroporte to M240 for the MC20, because refrigerant and charge differ between lines.
A recovery machine draws the old R134a or R1234yf out of the circuit, and none of it is released into the air.
The receiver-drier traps moisture and dirt and cannot be regenerated, so we fit a new one whenever the circuit is opened.
When a new compressor goes in, its oil is adjusted to the quantity the whole circuit takes.
We look for factory dye in the circuit before adding any, since excess dye reduces lubrication and can block the compressor valves.
Heat and moisture can make R1234yf polymerise and damage the service unit, so our cylinders are stored out of direct sun.

A Maserati AC in Dubai lasts longer when its owner keeps 4 habits. Book a check before the heat, run the AC monthly in the cooler months, and renew the filter and belt on Maserati's schedule. We carry out the check and both renewals.
For the Levante, Grecale, MC20 and GranTurismo, Maserati asks for an AC check at the start of the warm season. It covers condenser cleaning, belt tension and a performance test. Dubai's mean daily high is 33.7 °C in April and 38.2 °C a month later, so April suits the check.
On a Grecale, MC20 or GranTurismo, Maserati asks for a 10-minute AC run at least once a month in winter. A car parked for 2 weeks or more needs a 5-minute idle run on fresh air at high blower. That run protects the compressor when the AC starts again.
A 2025 Grecale or MC20 in the Middle East gets a new pollen filter at every service, each 15,000 km or 12 months. Keep to that interval in sandy weather too.
Maserati lists the UAE among its dusty countries. There, a 2025 Grecale Trofeo has its water pump, AC compressor and alternator belt renewed every 30,000 km or 24 months.

No. A sealed circuit keeps its refrigerant, so a Maserati that has lost gas has a leak. Each top-up without the repair sends more compressor oil out through it. The leak is sealed first, and then the circuit is charged.
No. Maserati calls cold steam at the vents of a Ghibli, Levante or GranTurismo Folgore normal in a hot, humid cabin with the compressor on. It does not mean the AC has failed. We test the system when the steam comes with weak cooling.
