A Lamborghini transmission problem shows 6 signs: a gearbox warning, lost gears, a stall, a change in paddle feel, shudder and a leak. The model decides what each sign means. We repair the fault each sign leads to, or refer the car to a Lamborghini dealer when the fix is Lamborghini's own.
On a Urus, a wrong tyre configuration can light the gearbox warning on the instrument cluster. The transmission control module then stores "Front/rear axle wheel circumference implausible". We check each tyre against the sizes specified for the car, replace a mismatched set and clear the fault.
A Urus can lose its gears for a moment, or show the steering warning light, after communication faults on the gearbox FlexRay line. We refer the car to a Lamborghini dealer for the repair.
On an early Huracán Coupé, the engine can stall when the throttle opens right after a start. Lamborghini's fix is new gearbox and engine software. A Lamborghini dealer loads the update, and we send a stalling car there.
Smooth shifting on a Temerario depends on the resistance of its E-Gear paddles. Lamborghini checks that resistance on a batch of Temerario cars, the UAE among their markets, and replaces the paddles where needed. We test the paddle shifts and refer a covered car to a Lamborghini dealer.
The Urus gearbox uses a slip-controlled converter lock-up clutch. Heat-aged gearbox oil can change the friction material of such a clutch chemically, and shudder follows. We change the aged oil to remove that cause.
Oil spots under a parked Lamborghini can come from a gearbox leak at a seal, a line or the pan. Each leak lowers the oil level in the gearbox. We seal the leak point and refill the gearbox.

The Urus torque converter gives a powerful starting ratio for brisk acceleration. At cruising speed, the gearbox holds low engine revs for fuel economy.
With the driveline in order, active torque vectoring sends drive to each rear wheel of a Urus for traction.
Gearbox oil cools the gearbox, protects it against contamination and carries the control commands for each shift. Fresh oil at the correct level covers all 3 tasks.
In STRADA, the Tecnica's engine and gearbox are tuned for comfortable everyday driving. A repaired gearbox brings that comfort back to Dubai traffic.
Each Lamborghini range has its own gearbox: a Huracán dual-clutch, an ISR in the Aventador S and Ultimae, a Urus 8-speed automatic. The hybrid Revuelto and Temerario use an 8-speed dual-clutch. We repair the Huracán, Aventador and non-hybrid Urus gearboxes.
LDF stands for Lamborghini Doppia Frizione, the Huracán's dual-clutch gearbox. On the Huracán Tecnica, the ANIMA selector varies its shift characteristics.
The Aventador S pairs its robotised ISR gearbox with four-wheel drive. The Urus gearbox is an electro-hydraulically controlled planetary unit, tuned for short low gears and longer high gears.
The Revuelto, Temerario and Urus SE carry an electric motor at the gearbox. On the Revuelto, that motor sits above the gearbox and doubles as starter motor and generator. We leave work inside these 3 hybrid gearboxes to a Lamborghini dealer.
A Lamborghini transmission rebuild goes to a Lamborghini dealer, and so does an exchange gearbox. We send the car there when the drained oil shows internal damage. Without that damage, we fix the cause at our workshop in DIP 2: the oil level, a leak, aged oil or a tyre mismatch.
The work on a Lamborghini gearbox follows 6 steps, from the complaint to the road test.
We log the conditions of the fault: engine temperature, traffic or ramp, and the gear it shows in. Any warning on the cluster goes on the job card too.
A gearbox control unit keeps its own fault codes and requests the warning lamp through the engine unit. We read the gearbox unit itself, because a scan of the engine unit alone shows just that request.
Over- or underfilling, or filling at the wrong oil temperature, can damage a gearbox. We bring the oil to the temperature set for that gearbox before we judge or correct the level.
Chips, metal fragments or a burnt smell in the drained oil point to internal gearbox damage. The pan magnet indicates how much abrasion the oil holds. We check both before we choose the repair.
We clear the stored gearbox faults once the repair is complete, so that any new entry stands out.
We drive the car with the gearbox at working temperature, in the conditions you described. A fault that returns on this drive sends us back to its cause.

Lamborghini files its fixes by model group: L62X for the Huracán, L83X for the Aventador and L636 for the Urus. We match each fault to the fixes for the car's group before we repair it.
The Huracán STO is rear-wheel drive with a mechanical self-locking differential. The Sterrato drives all 4 wheels, with a mechanical self-locking differential at the rear. We confirm the drivetrain of each version before we choose parts or oil.
The original Urus has an integrated front differential, a centre differential and a torque vectoring rear differential. We check the oil in each unit as well as in the gearbox, and renew oil that has aged.
The Huracán Tecnica's LDF uses a double plate clutch, and the Aventador S has a dry double plate clutch behind its ISR. We confirm the clutch design and refer any clutch replacement to a Lamborghini dealer.
Lamborghini holds a Revuelto above 13 V while its software loads, with a charger on the charging connections in the front luggage hood. We keep a charger on each Lamborghini through long diagnostic sessions.
On an Aventador, a new engine or gearbox control unit needs a new SVM code from Lamborghini for correct configuration. We leave control unit replacement and its coding to a Lamborghini dealer.

A Lamborghini transmission in Dubai lasts longer with gearbox and driveline oils changed on time. Lamborghini sets its Revuelto, Temerario and Urus SE oil plan by distance and by time. We check the gearbox oil on every Lamborghini that comes in for gearbox work, and change oil that has aged.
Lamborghini's 2026 plan renews the gearbox oil and gearbox filters on the Revuelto and Temerario every 30,000 km. On a 2026 Temerario, those gearbox items fall due at 12 months. Intervals differ by market.
The Urus SE has a hang-on centre differential, and Lamborghini's plan changes its Hang On oil at 60,000 km. Book it with the service at which it falls due.
Unknown past use can make a shorter gearbox oil interval sensible. Book an oil change when a Lamborghini arrives without its service history.

No. The front electric motors reverse the Revuelto, and the rear electric motor joins in when more momentum is needed. The Temerario differs: its gearbox has a mechanical reverse gear system.
Yes. Holding the left paddle while braking makes the Temerario gearbox shift down gear by gear, in sequence. The Revuelto has the same feature, which Lamborghini calls continuous downshifting.
Yes. The electric motor inside its 8-speed automatic boosts the V8 and also works as a traction element. In EV mode, the Urus SE runs as a fully electric four-wheel drive car.
