A weak Lamborghini battery shows 5 signs. Drivers see a slow crank, a repeat flat battery, an Aventador S engine running at stops, a hybrid without READY or a hesitant Aventador starter. We test the battery first, since a starter fault also causes the last sign.
The starter turns more slowly than normal when the battery has lost charge or aged. Either state lowers the current reaching the starter as it cranks. We charge the battery, test its health and replace it when it fails.
A battery that drains again has a second fault behind it: a current the car keeps drawing while parked, or a charging fault. A new battery fitted on top of that fault goes flat for the same reason. We trace that drain or charging fault and repair it, then fit the new battery.
The Aventador S carries a stop-and-start system. Stop-and-start needs sufficient battery charge, the correct temperature and full system readiness before it switches the engine off. When the V12 keeps running at every stop, we test the battery and replace it if the test fails it.
In P, these Lamborghini hybrids show READY on the instrument cluster when the electric drive is on. A flat 12 V battery is one cause of a missing READY, since the low-voltage side feeds the control units and runs the start-up processes. We test the 12 V battery and replace it when it fails.
Lamborghini found that the starter motor of an affected Aventador Coupé or Roadster can fail to crank at once on a start request. The fix covers a lower starter motor screw without threadlocker, for better temperature control. We test the battery, and a car whose battery passes goes to a Lamborghini dealer for that fix.

Lamborghini battery failure in Dubai has 6 causes: heat, grid corrosion, quicker self-discharge, current drawn at rest, a wrong battery type and a charging fault. Heat drives the first 3. A battery already weakened by heat then fails sooner under any of the other 3.
In August, daytime highs at Dubai International Airport average 41.9 °C. Over a 12-month field test, the batteries of 60 Dubai taxis spent 80 per cent of their working time above 60 °C.

With the charge restored, the stop-and-start system of an Aventador S can switch the engine off at rest again.
Lamborghini notes that the emergency flashers and electric seat adjustment stop working when the 12 V battery is disconnected. A charged, firmly connected battery keeps both available.
On a Revuelto, Temerario or Urus SE, the 12 V system still supplies the airbags and seat belt pretensioners when the high-voltage system is off. A sound 12 V battery keeps that supply in place.
An AGM battery in a car delivers up to 3 times the cycle count of a flooded unit. A like-for-like AGM keeps that margin.
With the drain or the charging fault repaired first, the new battery does not go flat for the old reason.
The RTA periodic vehicle test includes the battery mounting among its checked items. A secured hold-down meets that check.
The 12 V battery of a Revuelto or Temerario sits under the passenger footrest, beneath the foot carpet. On a Urus SE, it sits under the passenger footwell carpet and a battery cover. These models and the Huracán, Aventador and Urus also carry charge connections for a battery charger, placed differently on each.
A Huracán takes its charger at connections in the front luggage compartment. A Urus or an Aventador LP700-4 takes it under the engine bonnet, on the left side on the Urus. A Revuelto and a Temerario take it in the front luggage hood.
We remove and refit the carpet, footrest or battery cover on the hybrids, and leave the rest of the cabin trim in place.
Yes. Every Lamborghini high-voltage model carries one or more 12 V batteries beside its lithium-ion high-voltage battery. The Temerario and the Revuelto each hold a 3.8 kWh high-voltage pack, and the Urus SE carries 25.9 kWh below its load floor.
The Revuelto runs a lithium-ion 12 V battery with its own Battery Monitoring Control Module.

About 12.8 V at rest is the ideal reading, and a battery below 12.4 V goes on charge before its test. Charging first means the test reads the battery's health and not a low charge.
Our reading at idle checks the alternator, which on a modern car does not exceed 14.4 V. Next comes the current the car draws once asleep. We repair the circuit that keeps it awake.
We read the type and capacity from the battery the car carries and fit the same type, never a smaller capacity. A Revuelto gets a lithium-ion 12 V battery again.
A memory saver or charger on the charge connections keeps the electrical system supplied during the swap.
Lamborghini calls for the ground terminal to come off when the battery is disconnected, because otherwise a short circuit can follow. We insulate the loose cable, fit the new battery, secure the hold-down and reconnect the negative terminal last.
With the battery in, we read each control unit for stored faults and clear the low-voltage entries the swap left. The job ends with a road test and one more voltage check.

Voltage tells the state of charge, and the state of health needs a full test procedure. We run that test before we call a Lamborghini battery sound.
We set the tester to the battery type in the car before each reading: starter, gel, EFB or AGM.
Our tester clamps onto the battery posts themselves, since resistance in the car wiring skews a reading taken further away.
A short burst of headlight load removes surface charge before the conductance reading. We apply it on each car so the figure reflects the battery.
Lamborghini holds a Revuelto above 13 V during its software updates. We keep a charger connected through long diagnostic sessions on every model, so the voltage stays up.
We send each battery we remove to a recycling centre and never to general waste.
