A weak Bentley battery shows 6 signs: an air suspension warning, a Dynamic Ride fault, idle Stop-Start and a flat car after standing. A no-start after summer and a dead lithium battery complete the list. The Dynamic Ride message can point to another part, and our test shows which one is at fault.
On a 2017 to 2020 Bentayga W12, a low 12 V battery sets fault P168F00 along with codes in other modules. The air suspension warning then lights at start-up and clears once the voltage recovers. We test that battery, then charge it or replace it on a fail.
On a Bentayga or a third-generation Continental GT, GTC or Flying Spur, this message with code P0B2500 can come from the super capacitor. We check the capacitor terminals and connector and repair the fault we find. A 12 V battery that passes its test stays in the car.
A non-hybrid Bentayga carries an auto Stop-Start switch. Stop-start systems switch the engine off when conditions are met, sufficient battery charge among them. A Bentayga that keeps idling at every stop gets our battery test and a new battery when it fails.
A Bentley that keeps going flat while parked has a quiescent drain, an alternator fault or a battery left without charge behind it. We repair the drain or the charging fault first. The battery is then replaced when its own test fails.
Summer heat damages a battery, and the damage shows up later as a failure to start. A Bentley that struggles to start after the summer gets a full battery test from us, and a new battery on a fail.
The 12 V lithium battery of a 25MY or 26MY Continental GT, GTC or Flying Spur counts as totally discharged below 12.4 V. Bentley then closes its protective relay and attempts a recharge. We follow those steps and fit a new battery when the relay stays open.

Dubai International Airport averages a daily high of 40.3 °C in June and 41.9 °C in August. In a 12-month Dubai test on 60 taxis, battery temperature stayed above 60 °C for 80 per cent of operation, peaking at 75 °C.

On a Bentayga Hybrid from 2020 and a 2024 Continental GT Speed, the airbags and seat belt pretensioners run on 12 V battery voltage. A charged battery keeps them supplied.
With the engine off and the electrical system inactive, a Bentayga Hybrid or 2024 GT Speed has no brake or steering assistance. A battery that holds its charge keeps that support within reach.
The high-voltage system of a 2024 GT Speed shuts down 1 minute after its 12 V battery is disconnected. A sound 12 V battery keeps the hybrid drive available.
A 26MY GT, GTC or Flying Spur that carries a battery part with suffix L or LY takes a direct exchange. No software update comes first. We read the fitted part number first.
Bentley counts a battery killed by a system fault or a high quiescent drain as a result of that fault. With the fault repaired, the new battery keeps its charge.
The RTA periodic vehicle test checks how the battery is mounted. We secure each Bentley battery in its tray and tighten its fixings.
The 12 V battery of a Bentley sits in a different place on each line. A 2023 Bentayga EWB holds it under a carpet cut-out in the front right footwell, and a Bentayga Hybrid inside the passenger compartment. A 2024 GT Speed keeps it in the boot behind the subwoofer, and a 2022 Flying Spur Hybrid behind the boot backboard.
On the Bentayga EWB and Hybrid, the right front seat moves to its rearmost position and any overmat comes out before the cut-out opens. A Flying Spur Hybrid from 2022 is tested at the battery top posts, which takes trim removal. We remove and refit that seat position, mat or trim on each model.
A fourth-generation Continental GT, GTC or Flying Spur carries a 12 V lithium-ion battery of the LiFePO4 type, a deep cycle design. Its fitment depends on software: a 25MY car takes the latest battery once it runs baseline software BIL 105.7.2, and not before.
Bentley runs that update with the high-voltage system de-energised. We read the software level and refer a car below that baseline to a Bentley dealer for the update.
The high-voltage battery of a Bentley hybrid must not be damaged or opened. Our work on these cars stays on the 12 V side.
Every Bentley follows these steps, from the first check to the road test.
We check the 12 V battery for external damage and make sure no leads or chargers remain on the car. A damaged case means a new battery.
A conventional starter battery reads about 12.8 V in good order and goes on charge below 12.4 V. The lithium battery of a 25MY or 26MY GT, GTC or Flying Spur reads 13.4 to 13.7 V charged and 13.25 to 12.5 V discharged. That reading needs a battery at 10 °C or warmer.
A battery that our workshop charger cannot revive gets a trickle charge next. We condemn it after that step fails, never before.
On a 25MY or 26MY GT, GTC or Flying Spur with a suspected drain, Bentley records the battery draw overnight on an oscilloscope. We run that overnight test, read the charging output and repair the circuit behind the drain.
On a 25MY GT, GTC or Flying Spur, the 12 V and 48 V batteries support each other. The 48 V system therefore goes off first. Bentley also waits about 60 seconds for the airbag unit capacitor to discharge, and we connect a memory saver before the negative cable comes off.
On a 25MY car, the negative cable fixing takes 5 Nm, the LIN connector goes back on and the vent hose stays connected throughout. We finish with a road test and a last voltage reading.

The cost of a Bentley battery replacement in Dubai depends on 4 factors: battery technology, access work, software level and any fault found. The technology sets the battery price. Access can mean a seat, carpet, trim or subwoofer, and a drain or charging fault adds its own repair.

A voltage reading gives the state of charge, while the state of health takes a full test procedure. We run that procedure on every Bentley battery before we judge it.
A battery tester asks for the type first: starter, gel, EFB or AGM. We set it to match the Bentley battery each time.
The resistance of the car's own cables distorts a reading taken at remote contacts. We clamp the tester on the battery posts themselves.
A brief load, such as the headlights, before a conductance test removes the surface charge. We apply it so the result shows the true state of the battery.
We never downsize a Bentley battery. The capacity and type the car carries go back in.
We send each old Bentley battery to a recycling centre, never to general waste.

The Continental GT runs from the first generation of 2003 to the fourth, in production since Q3 2024. The Flying Spur reached its third generation in 2019, and the Bentayga was revealed in 2015.
A Bentley battery lasts longer in Dubai with 4 habits. They are a conditioner during stands, a charged hybrid battery, a daily READY EV DRIVE spell on a 25MY car and a test before summer. Each habit keeps the 12 V battery charged or finds a weak one early.
Where the car takes one, Bentley's instruction is to keep its battery conditioner connected. Bentley checks for that conditioner when it looks into a flat battery.
On a 25MY GT, GTC or Flying Spur, the 12 V charging process loses effect when the high-voltage battery falls below 50 per cent. Bentley keeps a car on display at 80 to 100 per cent, with the charger removed at 100.
On display, a 25MY GT, GTC or Flying Spur gets a short daily spell in READY EV DRIVE mode from Bentley. That spell lets the car charge its own 12 V system.
Our spring test on the 12 V battery finds a weak one before June. We replace it then, ahead of the hottest months.

No. A Bentley dealer handles the 17.3 kWh battery of the Bentayga Hybrid. The same goes for the 25.9 kWh battery of the 27MY Continental GT and Flying Spur. We test and replace the 12 V battery of these hybrids.
