Bentley links cooling that declines over time to refrigerant leaks. The link covers the 2018 to 2026 Continental GT and GTC, the 2020 to 2026 Flying Spur and the 2017 to 2026 Bentayga. Step 4 of our process finds the leak, and we replace the leaking part.
A Bentley that cools at speed but turns warm in a queue indicates a condenser airflow fault. Stationary, the condenser depends on its fan for airflow, and a pressure switch sends that fan to full speed above 16 bar. We test the fan and its control, then replace the failed part.
AC that stops cooling and then recovers by itself signals an iced-up evaporator. Its minimum set temperature is +0.5 °C, and a clogged cabin filter can let it drop below 0 °C. We fit a new filter, or test the evaporator temperature control and replace the part that lets it freeze.
A click as the compressor engages can mean a worn magnetic clutch, and a cabin buzz or whistle a partly blocked expansion valve. A hiss at switch-on or switch-off can mean a refrigerant leak. We replace the worn clutch or the blocked valve, and a hiss sends the car to our leak search.
A compressor that stays off can have a near-empty circuit behind it, since the pressure switch blocks it below about 2 bar. A defective clutch or a failed compressor speed sensor can also keep it off. We test the switch, clutch and sensor, then replace the part that failed.
In a Bentayga EWB, the rear ventilation switches on when it detects rear occupants, which cuts rear fan noise. Silent rear vents in an empty rear cabin are therefore normal. When they stay off with passengers seated, we test the rear ventilation circuit and replace the part that fails.

Bentley AC failure in Dubai traces back to 6 causes. Ageing seals, a corroded evaporator and other refrigerant leaks let the charge escape over time. A hot condenser, trapped moisture and heat from the engine bay push the working pressures up and strain the compressor.
Dubai International Airport averages a 41.9 °C daily high in August, and its record for that month from 1991 to 2020 is 48.8 °C. Every day from June to October reaches at least 30 °C there.

We look over the condenser face, the drive belt and each pipe joint for damage or traces of oil. Any damaged hose, belt or condenser found at this stage is replaced.
Our scan tool reads the fault memory of the climate control. On a 2020 to 2026 Flying Spur, a 2018 to 2026 Continental GT or a 2017 to 2026 Bentayga, B10ABF0 flags low refrigerant. We repair the sensor or circuit a code names, and a low-refrigerant code sends the car to step 4.
Gauges on both service ports give the high-side and low-side pressures, first with the engine stopped and then with the AC at full cooling. We note the centre-vent temperature with the outside temperature and humidity, and check the set against the maker's chart.
An electronic sniffer passes over the evaporator area, the lines and the fittings, and a soap solution test confirms each find. Both Schrader valves are sniffed with their caps on, then again with the caps off.
A circuit that has lost 150 g or more of refrigerant is drained and pressurised with dry nitrogen for the sniff test, never with refrigerant. We then replace the leaking O-ring, valve, hose or joint.
A new compressor, condenser, hose or evaporator goes in for the failed one. After a compressor failure, we flush the circuit 3 times and fit a new expansion valve, since the valve is never flushed.
A vacuum pump draws air and moisture out, and the charge waits until the vacuum holds. We weigh in the refrigerant to the figure set for the car, then repeat the step 3 readings.

The cost of AC work on a Bentley in Dubai turns on the leak position, the failed part and the need for a flush. A leak inside the dashboard, at the evaporator, is harder to locate than one at an engine-bay hose. We set the price once the tests have located the fault.
Our Bentley AC work rests on these practices:
A recovery machine draws the old refrigerant out of the circuit. We never let it escape into the air.
While a line or connection is open, we close its port with a cap or bung. Dirt and moisture stay out of the circuit as a result.
On a 2018 to 2026 Continental GT or 2020 to 2026 Flying Spur, Bentley inspects every connection before confirming an evaporator failure. We pressure test the under-bonnet circuit on its own, cut off at the expansion valve lines, before the dashboard is touched.
Saturated drier granules cannot be dried out again, so a used drier stops guarding the circuit against moisture and dirt. Ours is replaced each time the circuit is opened.
After a compressor change, we adjust its oil charge to the amount the whole circuit holds.
Factory dye can already sit in the circuit, and an overdose can clog the compressor valves and thin the lubrication. We check for it before adding any.

A Bentley AC lasts longer in Dubai with 4 habits. They are a pre-summer check, a monthly run in cool months, a new cabin filter after sandy spells and a leak repair instead of refills. We carry out the spring check and the filter change in our workshop.
Have the AC checked before the weather turns hot. Book it in March, when the daily high averages 28.9 °C, ahead of the 40.3 °C June average. We test the whole circuit at that check.
About a 10 minute AC run at least once a month keeps the internal parts lubricated. Give a Bentley stored through the cooler months the same run.
Replace the cabin filter sooner than its standard interval after driving in dusty or sandy areas. Rising sand blows on an annual average of 17.7 days at Dubai International Airport.
A refill leaves the leak in place, so the new charge escapes too. Book a leak test instead of another top-up.
