A Porsche needs body shop repair when it shows 5 signs. On the outside, a driver sees dents, chips on the nose and paint that dulls, yellows or cracks. From the seat, assistance warnings appear with nothing in the way, and on a 992 911 the windscreen seal turns sticky.
Parking knocks and hail leave dents in panels whose paint stays intact. Porsche's Dynamic Repair technique treats such damage without removing the part or harming the paintwork. We push the dent out with special levers, so the panel keeps its original paint.
Small craters in the paint gather on the front edges of the car, where the air and the road meet it first. We clean out each chip, fill it and refinish the area in the car's colour.
Weathered paint shows as gloss loss, a colour change or yellowing, and in its worst form as cracking and peeling. We sand the failed paint back and refinish the panel.
On a Taycan, Macan, Cayenne, 911 or 718, false assistance warnings can come from poor repair or paint work on the bumper cover. Porsche traces them to the area over the radar sensors. We strip that cover and refinish it within Porsche's paint thickness limit.
On a 992 911 without lightweight glass, the windscreen seal can melt and turn sticky where its material reacts with the windscreen adhesive. Long exposure to sunlight makes the reaction worse. Porsche's fix is a new windscreen, which we fit.

A 991 911 has around half the welds of the 997, more than 2,000 punched rivets and over 120 metres of adhesive joints. The 997 had no punched rivets and 12 metres of adhesive.
The Taycan body mixes aluminium and steel, with aluminium at around 37 percent. Its outer skin is aluminium apart from the front and rear end parts. We repair each Porsche part by its material: steel, aluminium or CFRP.
Yes. UAE traffic law bars repairing a car with signs of accident or damage without a vehicle repair permit from the Traffic Control Authority. We need the Dubai Police accident report or that permit before collision repair starts on a Porsche.
For a crash with no injuries, Dubai Police issue a simple accident report, which the driver takes to the insurance company. When an unknown party damaged the car, an unknown-party report lets the owner repair it.
That report carries photos of the damage and stays valid for 3 months. Dubai Police issue it for incidents inside Dubai, not elsewhere.
A Porsche body job runs through these steps.
We inspect the damaged area, the airbag and belt-tensioner harnesses near it and each impact sensor close to the damage. A damaged sensor gets replaced together with its mounting hardware.
Porsche gauges steel bodies on a straightening bench and measures multi-material bodies digitally. Its measuring tolerance is now plus or minus 1 mm, down from plus or minus 5 mm. We measure the body before and after any structural work.
We replace each structural part that Porsche's procedure does not allow us to repair, and we do it at the part's factory joint.
Bare metal and new fasteners get an anti-corrosion coat after structural work. We renew the seam sealer to match the factory finish and wax the body cavities after painting.
We mix the colour by the car's paint code and blend the base coat into the next panel. Clear coat then covers the whole panel, because a blended clear edge lifts and discolours over time.
Paint thickness gets measured after painting. Then we read the stored faults and take the car on a road test.

Yes. A licensed car first needs a permit from the Dubai Police General Department of Criminal Investigation. UAE law bars a colour change without the consent of the vehicle licensing body, and the car is inspected before its next use. We carry out the full Porsche paint once that permit is issued.
