A Brabus needs AC repair when its Mercedes-Benz base car shows one of 4 signs. Warm air can come from a failing 48 V compressor or from cooling that quits soon after start-up. The other 2 are condensation inside the cabin and warm air alongside a 48 V battery message.
Mercedes-Benz lists 48 V AC compressors with an internal fault for its 465, 167 and 223 series, identified by index and part number. The Brabus 800 Superblack and 900 Rocket Edition are built on the W 465 G 63.
We compare both numbers on the fitted compressor with that list. A listed unit is swapped along with the drier and expansion valve, and we then flush the circuit.
On the 167 series beneath the Brabus 900 Rocket Edition GLE Coupé, the AC can quit cooling shortly after the engine starts. Our diagnostic tester displays the temperature values the dew point sensor reports. A sensor showing an implausible value is renewed, and we confirm the new one's readings on the tester.
In 2023, a UAE recall named GLE and GLS cars on the 167 platform from the 2019 to 2021 model range. On these cars, an incorrectly fitted AC drain hose can let condensation into the passenger compartment. We look the car up against that recall and pass any open campaign on for a Mercedes-Benz dealer to complete.
On its 167 and 290 series with code B01, Mercedes-Benz lists an AC that stops blowing cold among the 48 V system faults. A 48 V battery warning, a no-start or limp-home running can come with it.

Inside the Mercedes-Benz base car, 6 causes explain Brabus AC failure in Dubai. For these base series, Mercedes-Benz has documented a broken compressor scroll, false dew point readings, an evaporator leak and a 48 V battery cut-out. Condenser heat and oil loss complete the list.
Between 1991 and 2020, all days of June to October hit 30 °C or above at Dubai International Airport. August's mean daily high there is 41.9 °C, so the condenser of a Brabus works in hot air for 5 months on end.

We fix the cause instead of topping up the gas, and a Brabus driver notices these results:
With true dew point values, the evaporator is no longer dried at start-up, and the compressor stays on.
Correctly fitted drain hoses keep AC condensation out of the passenger compartment.
Once the leak is sealed, the refrigerant stays in the circuit, and the vents stay cold through the hot months.
With air and moisture drawn out before the charge, working pressures stay down and the cooling output is not cut.
Flushing clears the debris of the failed unit before it reaches the new compressor or blocks the expansion valve.
A fresh drier traps moisture and dirt, so no ice forms in the expansion valve to stop refrigerant flow.
Brabus parts sit next to the AC in 2 places: the front fascia and the cabin air vents. We clear sand from the fascia intakes during the condenser check. Brabus vents and trim are removed and refitted by hand when a repair reaches behind the dashboard.
Brabus shaped the large, contoured intakes of the 900 Rocket Edition G-Class fascia to improve airflow to its cooling systems and front brakes. The 800 Superblack carries the WIDESTAR front fascia, also with large air intakes.
In the cabin, the 800 Superblack has Shadow Gray air vents, and the 900 Rocket Edition GLE Coupé has Rocket Red ones. On the Brabus 850, the vents are among over 300 plastic parts finished in Shadow Chrome.
A Brabus AC job with us follows this order:
A diagnostic tester pulls the stored faults from the climate control and the 48 V system. Each code names a sensor, part or wiring fault, and we renew or repair that item. A fault whose fix is Mercedes-Benz software is referred to a dealer.
We brush sand and dirt from the condenser fins, then run the fan to confirm it starts. A bent or holed condenser, or a fan that stays still, is renewed.
Our gauges log the high and low sides while the engine runs and the AC sits at its coldest setting. Centre vent, outside air temperature and humidity are noted alongside, and the set is matched to the maker's figures. Any value outside them leads us to the leak search or to the part it implicates.
Our technician charges the emptied circuit with forming gas, a nitrogen and hydrogen blend, then tracks escaping gas with a sniffer. A 167 has every other part of its circuit cleared before the evaporator falls under suspicion. The sniffer then goes to the right front AC drain once the under-dash panel is off.
We fit the replacement part with a new drier, because a used drier cannot be regenerated. Mercedes-Benz fixes a suspected evaporator leak on 167s from a set build range with a new expansion valve and bracket. On those cars, we fit both and tighten the bolts in turn to 7 Nm.
Evacuation strips air and moisture out and proves the circuit stays sealed. The refrigerant charge is matched by weight to the label, and we take the step 3 readings a second time.
Mercedes-Benz calls for drive cycles and a fresh leak check after the 167 expansion valve job, and we complete both.

Pricing for Brabus AC repair in Dubai follows 3 factors: which part failed, where the leak sits and the dashboard work to reach it. Leaks at the evaporator are more difficult to detect than those at an engine bay joint. We locate the fault first, and its place sets the work.
On a 167, reaching the dew point sensor means removing the glove box, then unclipping the AC control unit from its bracket. The sensor sits inside the climate housing behind them.

Before we remove a part, our recovery unit empties the circuit of refrigerant. The UAE accepted the HFC phase-down of the Kigali Amendment in April 2024.
A relief valve on the compressor opens at a defined pressure, shielding the circuit from overpressure. We inspect that valve and trace the cause of any overpressure before the circuit is refilled.
Too much oil or refrigerant can cause hydraulic lock in a compressor. A new compressor gets its oil charge set to the total the system holds.
Leak dye can be added at the factory, so we check for factory dye before adding more. An overdose of dye can clog the valves inside the compressor.
R-134a and R-1234yf use separate service couplings, which keeps the 2 gases apart. Our technician connects the AC station meant for the gas listed on the label.
Recalls, Mercedes-Benz software updates and high-voltage work on a Brabus 930 or 1000 are jobs for a Mercedes-Benz dealer. Everything else in the AC job stays with us in DIP 2.

In slow traffic, the condenser fan moves the air across the condenser. A dead fan lets the high side build pressure until a switch cuts the compressor out. Our technician tests the fan and its relay, then renews the part that has failed.
