Switch on every lamp function
Each beam, fog lamp, indicator, hazard, stop lamp, reversing lamp and plate lamp is switched on in turn. We note every lamp that fails, flickers or lights with another, and when the fault shows.

Read the fault memory
The body control module watches the light functions for short circuits, open circuits and excess current, and stores what it finds. We read and record those entries before any of them is cleared.

Test the signal at the lamp plug
A correct signal at the plug places the fault in the lamp itself. With no signal, we test the control unit, supply, grounds and wiring, then repair the failed one.

Repair the wiring and plugs
Damaged wiring gets sealed connectors and heat-shrink sleeves. We replace a bulb holder that corrosion has ruined.

Fit the replacement part
The holder, ballast, lamp or control unit the test identifies goes in next. Each part sits back on its seals and mountings, so dust and water stay out.

Clear the codes and retest
We clear the recorded faults, run every lamp function again and re-read the memory. After headlamp work, the beam aim is checked as well.
Book a lighting check by phone, or send the position of the failed lamp on WhatsApp.
