A car shows 6 signs that call for detailing and polishing. The paint carries 4 of them: lost gloss, swirl marks, deposit marks and stone chips. The other 2 are black brake dust on the wheels and fine dust through the cabin.
Flat, faded paint shows the early stages of clear coat weathering: yellowing, colour change and a loss of gloss. Cracking and peeling are the 2 failures at the end of that process. We bring back the gloss on sound clear coat in the polishing step, and our body shop refinishes a panel that has cracked or peeled.
