Oil changed on the Middle East interval
In the Middle East, Kia sets an oil and filter interval of 10,000 km or 12 months for the MQ4 with the G2.5 petrol engine. We change the oil of a contract car on the interval for its market.

A service contract covers the maintenance items on the car maker's schedule:
Each item goes into the visit the maker's schedule marks for it, and an item the schedule leaves out stays out. Kia's MQ4 schedule, for one, sets no automatic transmission fluid service for the G2.5 petrol engine in normal use. We follow the schedule item by item.
On the schedules Kia and Hyundai publish, 6 triggers shorten the service interval of a car in Dubai. Kia names 5 of them as driving conditions that move an MQ4 onto its severe schedule, with more frequent inspections, replacements and refills. The sixth is the grade of engine oil.
Rising sand is logged at Dubai International Airport on 17.7 days annually. Over 3.5 million vehicles a day share a Dubai road network of more than 25,000 lane-kilometres.
We ask where and how your car is driven. When any of these conditions applies, we plan the contract on the severe schedule.
A planned contract keeps each item on the distance and date the car maker sets. You get these results.
In the Middle East, Kia sets an oil and filter interval of 10,000 km or 12 months for the MQ4 with the G2.5 petrol engine. We change the oil of a contract car on the interval for its market.
Dirty intake air coats engine parts in deposits, causes ignition problems and wastes fuel. On a Kia MQ4 in the Middle East, the engine air filter is replaced at every 15,000 km or 12-month service. We fit a new one at each of those visits.
Brake fluid absorbs water from the air. The water lowers its boiling point, and hot brakes then form vapour that softens the pedal. Kia replaces MQ4 brake fluid at 45,000 km or 36 months, and we renew it at that visit.
Summer heat speeds up battery ageing through grid corrosion. Kia inspects the MQ4 12 V battery every 10,000 km or 6 months in the Middle East. We test the battery at those visits and replace one that fails the test.
A worn plug needs a higher voltage to spark as its electrode gap grows. New plugs cut misfires and restore power and economy. We replace the plugs at the maker's distance, 150,000 km on a petrol Kia MQ4 running unleaded fuel.
Kia leaves service records to the owner, who uses them to show the car was maintained as required. Repairs that stem from skipped maintenance sit outside Kia's cover. We record every contract visit, so your car keeps a complete history.
A maker's prepaid service package covers the maintenance items listed in its terms. As published in 2022, BMW Service Inclusive in the Middle East covered all maintenance work, with BMW parts and oil. Its list named the engine oil service with top-ups, the vehicle check, the air, fuel and micro filters, the spark plugs and the brake fluid.
Service Inclusive Plus added front and rear brake pads and discs, the clutch, and wiper blades at the oil service. BMW took a one-off payment, and the cover started on the date of first registration.
The BMW package applied when the car was maintained at the intervals indicated by the car itself. We read which items a maker package already covers on your car before we service it.
UAE consumer law gives the customer of a paid car service 3 rights. The supplier warrants the service for a period that fits its nature or for the agreed period, whichever is longer. A faulty service is performed again at no extra charge, and damage from repair or maintenance is repaired or compensated.
The same law requires an invoice that states the service, its price and the period the service is warranted for. The supplier hands over the written terms of that cover, on the invoice or apart from it.
We service each contract car to its maker's schedule.
A contract car moves through 6 steps, from the plan to the tyres.
Before the first visit, we look up the maker's schedule that matches the model, engine and market of your car. Where a maker prints a Middle East line, that line sets the plan.
Ask for the covered items and the km and time limits in writing before you sign.
Kia wants the area round each filler and drain plug cleaned before it is opened, a step that matters most where sand and dust settle. We clean those areas first on every contract car.
Once the engine is drained, a fresh filter goes on. We then pour in the grade and quantity the maker sets. A Kia MQ4 with the G2.5 engine takes 5.8 litres of SAE 0W-30, ACEA C2 oil in the Middle East.
At every MQ4 service, Kia inspects the steering gear and its boots, the ball joints, the tyres, the cooling system and the AC. We inspect the same items on each contract car, then repair or renew any failed part.
We inflate each tyre and torque each wheel nut to the figures the maker prints. A Kia MQ4 on 235/65R17 tyres runs 2.4 bar on both axles at normal load, with nuts at 107 to 127 N·m.

5 factors set the cost of a car service contract in Dubai. The list is the car's maintenance schedule, normal or severe use, the engine and drivetrain, the specified oil, and any wear parts covered. The contract's km and time limits then set the number of visits it holds.
Severe use in the Middle East brings the Kia MQ4 G2.5 oil and filter change forward to every 5,000 km or 6 months. On an AWD MQ4 driven under severe use, the oils in the rear axle and transfer case add a change every 120,000 km.
We build each contract quote from your car's own schedule and its use.
Our contract work follows the maker's own figures for your car, part by part.
Kia lists the timing belt, tensioner, idler and water pump of the MQ4 D2.2 diesel as one system, replaced every 240,000 km. We replace the 4 parts together on a car whose maker lists them as one system.
On the MQ4 G2.5, Kia's belt work reaches past the belt itself to its tensioner, its idler and the alternator pulley. We inspect all 4 and renew whichever part has worn.
Kia replaces MQ4 coolant first at 180,000 km or 120 months, and after that every 30,000 km or 24 months. We fill and top up cooling systems with deionised or soft water, and hard water never goes in.
Kia specifies higher-viscosity oils for lubrication in hot weather, and it rules out engine oil additives. No additive goes into the oil we fill.
After any submersion, Kia changes the differential oil, the transfer case oil and the transmission fluid. We replace those fluids on a contract car that has been through flood water.
We service contract cars of every make we work on, at our independent workshop in DIP 2.
A Dubai driver can run 4 checks between contract services. They are fuel-stop checks, a monthly walk-round, an oil level check every 500 km and a summer check. We carry out the maker's items at each contract visit, and these checks catch a fault in between.
Each fuel stop is a chance to read the coolant and washer fluid levels and spot an under-inflated tyre, as Kia's owner schedule sets out.
Kia's monthly owner checks cover every exterior light, including the brake lights, indicators and hazard flashers. They add all tyre pressures, the spare included, and a look for loose wheel nuts.
Hyundai asks US4 owners to look at the engine oil level and for leaks every 500 km, and before a long trip.
Before summer, keep oil and coolant levels in good condition and replace worn brake parts. Correct tyre pressure guards against blowouts in high temperatures.

A car service contract in Dubai brings the car in at the interval on its maker's schedule, inside the contract's km and time limits. On the US4, Hyundai's Middle East schedule renews the oil and filter every 10,000 km or 12 months. We follow your car's own interval.
No. A service contract pays for the maintenance on the maker's schedule, and repair cover pays for faults. In the Middle East, BMW sold the 2 as separate products: Service Inclusive for maintenance, and Repair Inclusive, which extended the cover for repairs.
No. The RTA carries out the periodic vehicle test of safety, roadworthiness and exhaust emissions itself. Registration in Dubai is valid for 12 months at most, and each renewal checks the insurance and the technical inspection. We repair the faults a failed test lists.
Yes. As published in 2022, a Middle East BMW sold before its Service Inclusive limits ran out passed the package to the buyer.
